On Saturday, we held our Brews, Books & Bakes event at the Kilgrimol Centre — and what a brilliant morning it was!
We had tables full of books in every genre you could think of — from children’s classics and young adult favourites to thrillers and romance novels. Visitors were able to take their time browsing for their next great read, all while enjoying a freshly brewed tea or coffee and a slice of delicious homemade cake.
The event was a lovely opportunity for members of the community to come together, catch up with friends, and support a good cause. There was a fantastic selection of bakes on offer, with everything from brownies to lemon drizzle, all kindly donated by our supporters.
Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we raised £176 towards a community defibrillator for the Kilgrimol Centre — an important piece of equipment that could help save lives in our local area.
We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who donated books, baked cakes, and came along to join us. Every contribution made a difference, and we’re so grateful for the support.
The fundraiser was organised by Katie, who is working towards her Queen’s Guide Award, and we’re excited to keep fundraising towards our goal of getting a defibrillator in place at the centre.
