A team of leaders from across the county joined the famous Lytham 1940s Weekend — the biggest event on the 40s weekend circuit, attracting more than 40,000 visitors!
The team ran a recruitment and information stand, complete with free giveaways and children’s activities. It was a brilliant chance to chat not only with local people but also with visitors from further afield — including Lincolnshire, Somerset and Sussex!
They were also busy fundraising for the new Kilgrimol Centre build, raising an amazing £1,750 through sales of crafts, jam and wartime books, plus a range of stalls including an adult tombola, teddy tombola, lucky dip and hook a ship. .
It was a fantastic weekend of fun, fundraising, and meeting new people, all in support of Kilgrimol’s exciting future.
