Girlguiding Blackpool Division joined the celebrations as Blackpool’s much-loved Stanley Park marked its 100th birthday with a fantastic day of community activities, entertainment and festivities.

The centenary celebrations brought the community together, with visitors enjoying a packed programme of activities and entertainment throughout the day.

Among the many community organisations taking part were members of Girlguiding Blackpool Division, who welcomed visitors to their stand throughout the celebrations.

The event offered a great opportunity to connect with Girlguiding members from across the Fylde Coast and further afield, recruit new girls, and speak with people interested in volunteering with Girlguiding.

The division was delighted to work in partnership with Blackpool Council as part of this special milestone and was honoured to receive the Stanley Park Centenary Medal.

A huge thank you goes to Sue, Janet, Jodie, Katy, Susan and Alisha, a young member of the 14th Blackpool Guides, for giving their time and supporting the Girlguiding stand throughout the celebrations.

With Stanley Park busier than ever, it was a brilliant day for celebrating the local community, raising awareness of Girlguiding and sharing the opportunities available to girls and volunteers across Blackpool.

Congratulations to Stanley Park on 100 wonderful years, and thank you to everyone who helped make the celebrations such a memorable occasion!
