Last week, over 70 excited girls and 15 incredible leaders from across the county came together for Alive in ’25 — a carnival-themed county camp full of colour, laughter and adventure!
Hosted at Guy’s Farm Activity Centre, the four-night extravaganza saw girls diving into activities like paddle boarding, archery, high ropes, abseiling and classic campfires. One group even took on a 6-mile round trip to the Barn at Scorton — all for an ice cream!
Mid-week, we welcomed a group of Brownies for a special Wednesday visit, giving them a taster of what camp life is all about. From exploring the site to joining in on activities, it was the perfect opportunity to get them excited and ready for when they move up to Guides!
A huge shoutout to our amazing service team of Young Leaders and Rangers, who helped run the camp as part of their Duke of Edinburgh and Queen’s Guide awards. You kept the fun flowing and the carnival spirit alive!
It was a week of friendships, first-times, and fearless fun — a true celebration of everything Girlguiding is about.
Roll on the next adventure!!
