Young Leader Qualification
This is open to young leaders aged 14-17 who are helping in a unit. You’ll dvevelop skills in leadership, communication and team working – all of which make impressive additions to any CV. If you have enjoyed being a young leader, you may like to think about becoming a unit leader when you are 18.
Leadership Qualification
The becoming a leader training is split into three learning areas. This will help you explore, develop and apply the skills needed to run a Girlguiding unit and provide a great guiding experience. You’ll have lots of help and support along the way. Most volunteers complete the qualification in less than a year.
Going Away With Qualification
The going away with qualification allows you to learn how to plan trips and ensure the safety of your girls away from home. You can complete the basic licence to take girls overnight, or for two nights or more if programme, catering and facilities are provided. This can be extended to cover catering, programme, facilities, camping and international travel.
